- You'll be asked to keep your voices low and listen out for heavy movements. You will also be able to observe the great bird life and other wildlife in the forest.
- Keeping the park clean is essential. So don't go littering the rubbish all over the forest, just place it in your back and carry it back with you.
- You will be taken to where the guides have observed the Mountain Gorillas the day before. From there you will follow the gorilla’s trail. Look out for the gorillas’ nesting sites along the way! The guides will alert you when you approach where the gorillas are.

The Gorilla Trekking Permit
Gorilla trekking permits need to be purchased in advance, as much as six months in advance if you’re travelling during peak season or if you are in a large group. The earlier you book, the more choice you have on where you trek and where you stay. Last minute bookings may be possible during low season or where there are just one or two people trekking, but availability of gorilla trekking permits is not guaranteed.
In the case of this 4 Day Fly-in Gorilla Trekking Uganda Safari, we will go through the hustle of purchasing the gorilla permit for you if you pay in time.
A gorilla permit costs $600 in Uganda and $1500 in Rwanda. Gorilla trekking permits can be purchased up-to two years in advance through the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) or the Rwanda Tourism Board (RTB) or via a registered tour company.
